I shoot the IR image and if the camera shows an anomaly I then use a second piece of equipment to confirm, this equipment is a moisture meter and can be used in both the scan or pin mode. This secondary investigation confirms the anomaly and then we paint the moisture location on the roof and number it. The roof is also mapped out and each spot is identified for easy location.

The roofers then take our information and further testing like a core sample can be done prior to replacement. This method of investigation is very cost effective and can increase your accuracy in spot repair rather just replacening a whole section if it doesn't need it.
